The Chapel of Three Moons

Painting

Artist Statement: In this painting called The Chapel of Three Moons, the circular moon-shaped windows represent the connection of the celestial and nature to the Trinity. The singular kneeling figure in the foreground is praying in private confession. This act of prayer is an example of the sacrament called Reconciliation of a Penitent.

The world can be a very complicated and precarious place. This painting is inspired by my own need to connect with God in prayer and spend time in silence to commune with Him and His creation.
