Joyful Celebration

Photograph

Artist Statement: Where does your camera help you to see God in the world around you? It might be in the beauty of nature, in acts of human compassion, in the faces of God’s people created in God’s own image. The possibilities are infinite, each individual’s vision distinctive.

“Joyful Celebration” illustrates how we should worship God and Jesus Christ. I learned that at its core, Christianity is a passionate religion. It provides many with the strength and courage to continue despite the adversities of life. It was perfectly natural to show emotion at church — maybe it should be a requirement. You can yell “Amen” here if the spirit moves you. You can wave your arms to praise The Lord. You can shed tears, as I have, when God offers a direction when nobody shows you how.
