The
influence of the environment to my painting and my faith
is in the process of creation and the imagination. I do
not have an outcome predetermined. I know what respond
to. That is the given and the start of the creative
process. Like faith it is open to the trust of the
making as is our living. I do not determine what
happens. I respond with all that has been given to me
through the church and through my experience. There are
many temptations to fine an easy path and leave my focus
for fame or relief from not knowing. I have to go with
the focus of the original and the process that is open
to me. It is hopeful that in this way I may be able to
create work that is filled with the life that has been
given to me.
