Light #12

Another place was the Cloisters in New York City. The
Cloisters is a complex of medieval monasteries standing
on a hill 250 feet above the Hudson River. One sunny,
crisp October morning I went there to encounter the Holy
Spirit. I could almost hear the plainchant of medieval
monks. In “Light #12” the extremely narrow window of the
majestic apse allows a beam of light to penetrate the
massive walls and illuminate the Romanesque crucifix.
