Salt Marsh

"This was one of those moments when I recognized the
guidance of the Holy Spirit. I was painting in plein-air
and my fingers were frozen in the New England February
afternoon. The wind off the Marshes continued to fight
against my easel. All I wanted to do was to make the
time worthwhile – to bring home something that justified
the drive and the babysitter’s fee. The easel threatened
to tip in the wind and I just made marks. I am moved by
grace in having experienced God's presence on these
marshes."
