Pregnant Landscape

This painting was done during a Retreat of Silence at a
Trappist Monastery in Virginia. I was seven months into
a high risk pregnancy. The painting is a prayer on
paper, begging God to advocate for the baby's life. I
look at the hills outside my window and ask for the
strength to bare what the future holds. I have been
disappointed before.
