The Rev. Edward Mullins (and Katherine
McEwen)
This photograph is of a fresco designed
and executed by Katherine McEwen, which
is in the church where Mullins serves as
Rector. This portion is a small section
of the Flight into Egypt. Mullins
writes, "I am fascinated by porous
creations and how light penetrates the
crevices and 'reflects' the original
colors when the surface shows more wear
and tear."
Mullins used a Nikon D70 and natural light.
The Reverend Edward L. Mullins serves as
the
Rector of Christ Church, Cranbrook
in
Bloomfield Hills, Michigan in the
Episcopal Diocese of Michigan. In
addition to the two photographs featured
in this exhibit, he has done numerous
photo shoots (on my one day off!) of
industrial complexes, homes, models,
portraits, churches and cities. Mullins
writes, "I do love it so—it's like
seeing through the lens of God what
creation can disclose and reality can
present."
