Harvey Bonner
This goauche on paper board was
originially created as an entry in a
competition held by a collectables firm.
Harvey David Bonner was graduated from
The Philadelphia College of Art (now
University of the Arts) and after post
graduate work at P.C.A., The Choinard
Institute of Art in Los Angeles,
California and considerable time as an
advertising designer, he joined the
Medallic Design Department of a large
private mint. After retirement he
re-cycled himself as an easel painter
with most of the production being in
oil-on-canvas… “because it is most
pastic and most forgiving to those of us
who are experimenters. I add and delete
areas and change my mind a lot even
after the initial painting work has been
started". His work is impressionist in
style, sometimes romantic in nature.
Favorite subject matter is horses, ships
and the sea and figures from life,
fiction, history and fantasy.
