Artist Statement: The Spirit of Christ sweeps through and around us in an all-connected rotation. It spirals throughout our lives in many directions, seen and unseen. I seek the highest union with God, like others seek enlightenment. My journey with iconography has led me through a labyrinth of doctrines and traditions. The work is a portrait of my own journey, I am stepping out of a dark cave that has the Tree of Life at the door. Spirit is there to greet me, I know the light of God is by my side which allows me to doubt and be inquisitive. Bio: Miller is an author and Byzantine style iconographer and change maker; she is fearlessly passionate, continually exploring of the spiritual mind and what inspires it. What we say, do and think evokes transformation and alters our environment.
