The two blocks on either side of the window evoke the vivid memory of the Twin Towers, broken in New York. The blue panel points upwards, leading the eye from the darkness below to the light streaming through the window. The blue membrane covering it is thin, vulnerable, and easily damaged. The greatness of God’s love is that he makes himself vulnerable, comes to share our human lives in Jesus Christ, sharing our pain, sharing our wounds, sharing our dying, so that by the power of that same vulnerable love God sows at the heart of human sin and pain the seeds of new and eternal life.
