The pieces included in Wings of the Spirit were created especially for Easter, the most joy filled feast of the Church, and are also used for other celebrations including weddings and funerals. They were spontaneously created to visually heighten the experience of celebrations, to adorn the table of the Lord, and to focus attention on the Word of God.

Each of the eight pieces that surround the altar are shaped as overlapping tips of wings. Angel wings? Wings of a dove? Wings of the Spirit. Each wing is appliquéd with abstract flowers free cut from vibrant silks and taffetas with a graceful cross set against the light of the sun on the front panel, repeated on the veil and burse; the lectern piece is a symbol of butterfly wings. The first festival stole is appliqued with all of the joyful colors in a random pattern and the second repeats the cross and sun.
