These images begin with scans of my drawings and mixed media work and are combined and collaged digitally using Adobe Photoshop.
 
My work contains many references to arches, doorways and windows. I am attracted to these structures architecturally, but also enjoy the fact that they are the bridge points between exterior and interior worlds. As an artist, I am always attempting to bring glimpses of my interior spiritual experiences into the exterior and vice versa.
 
My method of working allows me to integrate papermaking, drawing and digital media. I compose the images in stages solving the visual puzzles that each stage presents along the way. I find great pleasure in the process of making my work. My hope is that my own feelings of joy, peace and connection with spirit are translated into visual joy for the viewer.
