I was so moved by the wooden cross on the altar table
on Good Friday, which I had never seen before, I felt
compelled to draw it. During the quiet time immediately
after the Good Friday noon service, I did this illustration
. . . with unexpected assistance.
I submit “Amen” to the ECVA for use at the
2006 General Convention because for me it represents how
God’s Gracious Spirit moves in us. That day the
Holy Spirit gifted me with spiritual sight -- in that
the cross represented more than just wood – and
the ability to draw the cross. The result was a drawing
I am grateful to dedicate to God.
