For me, the work of art is about the search for, and acknowledgement
of, the holiness present in each moment. Abstract art
-- line and color that hints rather than defines
-- gives permission to expand or to restrict physical boundaries,
to surround the spirituality of each moment. Art is a
transformation of thought or emotion; art is the opportunity
for thought or emotion; art is an opportunity for growth.
As such, art is a participation in the reality of God’s
presence.
You send such Beauty
to my window, to my heart
how can I thank You
except by the
Gathering & Reflecting
of Each Thing.
The theme and sub-themes of the 2006 General Convention
coincide with my own reality of art and the spiritual
opportunities within. Art documents both the mile and
milestone of a life pulled toward the Spirit.
