Artist Statement: During the shut-down, images were popping up around the world as we slowed down, the air cleared, and animals came out of hiding. I began to meditate on my own Eden, what the world would look like if we would stop assaulting it. I created the Mother Earth painting as my own personal oasis, my escape, and my sanctuary during social distancing. I began to pray about the creation story and visualize it in our own time. |
