Artist Statement: It is a blessing to be able to use my talents to make these icons and it’s an honor to know that they are widely used to invite people to prayer. Bio: Jack Pachuta is a contemporary iconographer. His work is based on Russian icons, Romanesque frescoes, Bible Illuminations and his own imagination. His icons are displayed in Catholic, Orthodox, Episcopalian, Anglican, Lutheran and Bretheren in Christ churches. Jack is especially honored to have them in the Missionaries of Charity Motherhouse in Calcutta, the Curia Generalizia del Marianisti in Rome, St. Lukes Anglican Church in Ontario, Amigos de Jesus orphanage in Honduras, the Healing Garden Shrine at St. Augustine Church in Philadelphia and Catholic Seminaries in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Tens of thousands of prayer cards, made from his icons, have been distributed through prison ministry organizations and The Men of Melchezedek.
