This image was made in response to the 30th anniversary
of the ordination of women. It depicts an ordained woman
standing against shadow of the cross as she embraces the
light and shadow of creation and surrenders herself in
prayer. Her egg-shaped garment is a translucent chasuble
composed of hands that bless and implore. I produce out
of a belief that we are all called to live consciously,
creatively and compassionately, and that the process of
creating is inherently divine. Though peace eludes us,
we can move closer to the kingdom when we behave as if
we believe, with grace, there is enough for all.
