Loretto Labyrinth

Statement:
This labryinth stands at the Cedars of Peace, the hermitage of
the Sisters of Loretto motherhouse in Loretto, Kentucky. The
hermitage contains several small cabins, a small chapel and
this labrynth, creating a space for peace and quiet in the
silence of a grove of trees on the farm owned by Sisters of
Loretto.
I have often come to the motherhouse for retreats since the
late 1980s, and always found a place to explore the world of
nature, the world of my spirit and the world of God's divine
path. The motherhouse has been steeped in prayer since the
sisters built a school just down from the Abbey of Gethsemani
in rural Kentucky. |
