Artist Statement: This contemporary icon, written in the Byzantine style, portrays in an interesting way the concept of the Universal Christ. As part of Creation, we are all branches of the True Vine.

Bio: My art has been a part of me for most of my life. After retiring to Pensacola, Florida, I ws introduced to the wonderful world of icons.

The passion I find in iconography lies in its combination of artistic skilll, and creativity with spiritual motivation, discipline and religious devotion. I "write" icons in accordance with ancient guidelines and techniques, incorporting modern artists' materials. I select subjects drawn from both Eastern and Western Churches.
