Artist Statement: Many others have experienced this same journey -- fading health or memories. We find joy in laughter together and take care to savor our time with each other. There are bright spots, moments that are heartbreaking, or just rough terrain to navigate. We are bound together, lending love and support as best we can, and we glimpse profound love -- and always God’s grace. Bio: Kathy Thaden’s award winning mosaics have been exhibited across North America. Inspired by the Rockies and desert Southwest, she links her art to her faith – with awe for Creation. Kathy's mosaics range from abstracts to liturgical wall hangings and commissioned works. Seeking something more tactile, Kathy came to modern mosaics following a 25-year career in broadcast design. Working in television as art director, animator, and graphic designer – she won numerous honors for design, including seven Emmy Awards. |
