Rain
Photography
I remember singing "rain, rain go away" as a child. Now I
pray for rain. During the recent Black Forest fire here in
Colorado news reports described how much more water falls
through rain than could ever be dropped by water carrying
planes. Seeing this rain begin to fall revealed God's
gracious presence in so many ways. The shimmering presence of
God in each atom, each molecule each drop of water,
everywhere—not water as not only a metaphor for Divine
overflow but as water mediating God's love through creation.
