Stillness
Photography
It looks as though nothing's there: no vibrant colours, no
birds, no life. Yet on a quiet morning at a retreat center, in
that still nothingness, I sensed God hovering around me like
the mist. A silence so full that I nearly gasped. I wanted to
stay there, hold onto the moment, as if by walking away I'd
leave God's presence. As if. I stayed anyway, for a while,
enjoying what was suddenly beautiful and alive.
