Committed
to beauty and art, members at Trinity Episcopal Church
have amassed an eclectic collection of liturgical art
and design pieces over the years, by nationally known
artists and craftspeople, and by members of the church.
Trinity Parish was
founded in 1855 in the City of St. Louis, the church
moved several times before finding its final home at the
corner of Euclid and Washington in the Central West End.
The church building, originally St. James Memorial
Episcopal Church in north St. Louis, was moved to its
current location in 1911. Trinity adopted this location
as their new home in 1935 with Parish Halls added in
1954 and 1980.
A Memorial
Garden and Labyrinth was dedicated in 1998
including space for the ashes of the faithful.
The garden also provides space for meditation
and picnics. In the southwest corner of the
Memorial Garden is a monument created as a tribute to Trinity’s
lasting presence in the Central West End of the
City of St. Louis and as a testament to the
power and love of Christ.
