Artist Statement: Based on original drawing I did and adapted from a 1990 photo I took in Spain of a tombstone in Valencia.

Bio: Jerry DiFalco was born in Camden, New Jersey, on September 26, 1952. He has exhibited his art in over 500 solo and juried group shows in museums and galleries around the world since 1974. His accolades include The City of Philadelphia Award in Arts and Culture for 2009, a Fellowship from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation in New York City ($30,000/2002); and two Individual Artist’s Fellowships from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts in 1992 and 1987. He currently assists professional artists at Philadelphia’s Fleisher Art School, where he has worked as a Mentor and Monitor in The Open Studio in Printmaking over six years.
