ALPHA AND OMEGA

Of the Father’s love begotten ere the worlds began to be,
he is Alpha and the Omega, he the source, the ending he
of the things that are, that have been, and that future years shall see,
evermore and evermore.

These vestments, inspired by the words of this chant attributed to Marcus Aurelius, bear witness to the Christian belief that the Triune God reigns over every time and every season.

The spiral design for this chasuble and stole was executed in rayon, synthetic, and metallic fabrics using piecing and appliqué techniques. The pieces were embellished with improvisational stitching and bead work.
