A Pentecost Day –
The sun’s shaft sent tongues of fire through the shadows
of the trees,
Painting red and gold bright with the expectation of
heavenly bliss.
The wind wound its way through the leaves,
dancing branches quivering with hopeful anticipation.
Like people reaching their final purpose,
after lives lived long and hard,
the leaves marched in procession
behind the banner of the Dove, the spirit of newness and
hope.
A
Pentecost Day. |
