Artist Statement: A numinous experience in music or visual art is transitory like in prayer. Here I attempted to show in a static painting the emotional intensity of the Transfiguration, how I have experienced it through performing and listening to music. Bio: Hazel Bartram-Birchenough’s studios are in Houston, Texas and Nottingham, England. She is a visual artist and musician who exhibits and performs internationally. She works to commission for oil portraits and drawings as well as her studio work. |
