Linda Henke

FORMED - RE+FORMED - TRANSFORMED

Artist Statement: This design’s vibrant palette conveys a sense of God’s ongoing activity within and among all of creation. Hymn texts in the background of the three panels bear witness to God’s work in all times and places around the globe. Three interlocking circles signal the Holy Trinity as the lens for reflecting upon God’s love and faithfulness throughout the ages, reminding us that we are FORMED in the image of God, RE+FORMED through the cross of Christ, and TRANSFORMED by the power of the Holy Spirit. All of life is united in the cross of the universal Christ who resides within and among us and who ushers us into blessed relationship with the Holy Trinity, one another, and all of creation. Even as God’s salvific work is revealed in enduring compassion, endless love, and unrelenting good intentions, so we are called to be the tangible presence of God’s loving, healing, and restorative work throughout the world.
