Brandon Hudson

The Holy Eucharist Tyiptych

Artist Statement: We human beings are imperfect, rough around the edges, even prickly to one another at times. Therefore, it is remarkable that, by virtue of our baptism, we are also holy members of the Body of Christ; mortal vessels bearing the divine into the world. In this triptych I have utilized unlikely materials such as rough burlap and unfinished reclaimed wood frames and overlaid them with delicate and shimmering gold leaf in order to highlight the juxtaposition of flawed humanity being sanctified by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

"And the one who was seated on the throne said, "See, I am making all things new."" Revelation 21:5a
