Spring of Hope Oil on Canvas |
Artist Statement: This is a painting I did early spring after receiving my covid vaccine. I had hope that I once more would be able to visit and see friends and go to church and sit in the sanctuary. Spring to me is such a hopeful time especially after a winter with this pandemic and all the suffering it has brought. The bloom of flowers, the remembrance of the past with the dark shadows, the winding paths all give hope to what God has before us. I trust this hope will continue to guide us no matter what the future may hold. Bio: I have always been interested in art but didn’t start painting until 1995 while living in Clayton, NC where I begin taking art classes. |
