Artist Statement: Blue Herons are a favorite bird I love to watch. This is one I painted flying and searching for food, a place to rest, or to find solitude, who knows. It makes me wonder what we are searching for. As in the Gospel of John when the disciples are asked, “What are you looking for?” they are invited to come and experience Christ. The world is full of such searchers, can you help them see and experience Christ? May we also continue to search for Him and see Him in all who are brought into out path in each and every experience we have. Bio: I have always been interested in art but didn’t start painting until 1995 while living in Clayton, NC where I begin taking art classes. |
