Artist's Statement: "O Root of Jesse, who stands for an ensign of the people, before whom kings shall keep silence and onto whom the Gentiles shall make supplication: Come to deliver us, and tarry not." While the symbols in this work are primarily those of The Root of Jesse, mandalas are a symbolic representation of the cosmos with the point at the very center symbolizing the creative Wisdom who reaches from end to end and orders all things mightily and sweetly. |
