Artist Statement: After God created the heavens and earth for 6 days, on the seventh he rested. So, it is with the smallest on God’s creations on a hot summer day.
Bio: Lee Whiteman received his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has shown his work on Jazz Musicians and Church Sanctuaries as a member of the ECVA at Trinity Cathedral, Trenton, New Jersey, thanks to Ruth Councell. He was a contributing member of the Washington Township Council of the Arts in New Jersey, and a member of The Princeton Photography Club. He cites as his photographic influences Gordon Parks, Jeanne Moutoussamy- Ashe, James Van Der Zee, and Moneta Sleet. This is his first entry where he focuses on nature and its fragility. Recently, he launched the You Tube Video of his photographs: I Surrender All. |
