| The Suffering Earth |
Artist Statement: The earth has been defiled by it’s people (Isaiah 24:5) but even the breath of mankind is in God’s hands (Job 12:10). Bio: Jack Pachuta is a contemporary iconographer. His icons are inspired by medieval Russian icons, Slavic icons, folk art icons and Romanesque frescoes. His icons can be seen in Roman Catholic, Byzantine Rite Catholic, Episcopalian and Lutheran churches, shrines, chapels, retreat centers and seminaries in North America, Mexico, Central America and Europe. Jack’s icons are in the collections of many religious, laity, relatives and friends. |
