Artist Statement: The translucent quality of both leaves and petals has always fascinated me. The technique is somewhere between Georgia O'Keefe and a stained glass look. Bio: I have been a part-time artist for about 15 years. The first time I acknowledged the word "artist" as a personal description was when our priests asked me to participate in a parish exhibition in which artists would depict the last words of Christ for Good Friday. I have been working on finding my personal style and my artistic statement since then. I maintain a "day job" as a School Psychologist / Behavioral Analyst. |
