Acrylic and oil on found quilt

Artist Statement: Colony Collapse Disorder has been a concern for some ten years now. These precious pollinators have fallen prey to sublethal stressors such as pesticides and diesel fumes, climate change, pests and contribute to bee decline and cognitive function to find and forage food. So important to our own food, this is a crisis that is near and dear to my heart, and I pray it continues to be researched and handled so as not to lose our bee population. This acrylic and oil painting on found quilt represents, the beauty of cooperation, order and sustainability.
