| Into Your Hands |
Artist Statement: Into Your Hands is a Good Friday project depicting "Into your hands I commit my spirit". I based it on the hands of Adam and God (Michelangelo - Sistine Chapel). Kind of an Alpha to Omega concept of what it might look like to transition from one existence to another. I depicted our world in minimal colors of black, white, and red: the suffering world. The next existence is multi-colored as if that's when we really become alive. Bio: I have been painting only about 15 years. I just took a little painting class through my city and then took a few more classes through the community college. Eventually I found a style that works for me. |
