Love Park/Alvin's Park Philadelphia

I had the opportunity to paint en plein air in Center City Philadelphia, on a stage in LOVE Park. Love Park is a huge tourist attraction with Philadelphia's LOVE Sculpture. There is an interesting mix of tourists, homeless people, and the business crowd.

Alvin, a homeless man, sat next to me for two days and talked with me about the in's and out's of the Park. Alvin earned food money by taking photos of tourists in front of the sculpture and getting tips from those people. I now have a friendship with Alvin and am debuting this work at a solo show at the LOVE Park Visitors center. I told Alvin if it sells I'm taking him out to eat at a nice restaurant.
