Saint Paul's Cloak
pen and ink drawing on 100% rag board
30 x 40 inches
Saint Paul's Cloak is in the form of a scroll against the firmament
of heaven. The scroll
depicts the map of the area of Paul's evangelistic journeys.
The cloak is "woven" to
include many symbols of Paul's Jewish heritage and his conversion in
Christ. His journey begins at the dramatic moment of his conversion at
Damascus and continues its tumultuous path in the company of the Holy Spirit as Paul
proceeds toward Spain and his life's end. Who is more "seeking and searching" than
Saint Paul?
