I Peter 3: 21: And baptism ...now saves you—not as a removal of dirt from the body, but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Baptism symbolizes our unity with Christ and the church universal.

In this figurative painting the animals were saved just as Noah's family was saved through the ark from the waters of the flood. They began life anew when the flood waters receded.

Romans 6:4-5:  Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that as Christ was raised from he dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.

We are saved through our Ark , Jesus, through the waters of baptism. We are led from the chaos of our lives, resurrected and renewed into the safety of His arms.
