"Leaving the Cloister" was an image that appealed to me because of the light coming through the slightly open door, and its meaning can be interpreted by each viewer. In the context of this exhibit, the meaning for me is a reference to the coming of Christ, who will illuminate the corners of a dark and sinful world.
