Saint John the Baptist
2012
Oil on panel
As so many of us are who minister in the church, he exercised a ministry others held before and to which others succeed. Being able to "let go" and indicate where the next step lies—as John the Baptist did, by pointing to Christ—is a liberating experience, and makes for more effective ministry.
John stands at the turning point of salvation history—as in some way so do we all.
