Where You Look
Mixed Media Early one morning I had an insight in response to a reading from "My Utmost for His Highest," by Oswald Chambers. The thought worked through my prayers and on to the canvas. I called a dear friend to share my insight and was met first with a good chuckle and then we shared a conversation about the implications of it: where you look, that’s what you see. I can choose to look at the darkness looming or at the brightness breaking through. I can choose to look at the destruction in God’s creation or at the signs of rebirth. Micah Chapter 7 begins with evils I can see in our world today and I sometimes find myself dwelling on them. But in Verse 7 I find where I want to look, what I want to see. "But as for me, I will look to the Lord, I will wait for the God of my salvation." Micah 7.7 |
