My
Portion, My Cup "Lord, you are my portion and my cup, you hold my future." Psalm 16:5 We are called together, in communion with God and each other. In biblical times covenants were sealed with the mutual drinking from a cup in fellowship, one with another. The night before Jesus died He broke bread with His disciples and offered them a cup... "when He had given thanks He gave it saying, "Take all of you, this is my blood of the new covenant which is poured out for the forgiveness of sins." This covenant recalls our fellowship, with Jesus and one another, His blood that was shed, the Victory at the cross, and the key to our salvation. The angel brings the promises of God, and recalls our fellowship with the communion of saints, who went before us, and intercede for us, as we do for them, in our continuing prayers. curator's statement | list of artists
