Pilgrimage I There is a long tradition of pilgrimage in the southwest for many peoples. Pilgrimages may be made at any time of year, but from Good Friday to Easter there is an incredible flow of people from many faiths and walks of life which streams along the roads and highways towards shrines and holy places. These streams of living water are church groups, families, or individuals—young, old, children, differently "abled," who help each other over the rough parts, share food and water, encourage each other, and pray or sing together.
As
these streams converge, small groups and individuals become part of the
river of mankind, all reaching for God. Pilgrimage reminds us that we
are all pilgrims in this journey called life; this journey towards
holiness. In pilgrimage, the many become one body; the Body of Christ. curator's statement | list of artists
