Profile at Harvest From such simple elements—air, light, water, soil—the hidden hand of God creates the bounty of the grain field. Then, with equally common ingredients—flour, water, salt, yeast—human hands enrich God's creation, fashioning bread. Finally, human and divine hands join together—bringing, blessing, breaking, sharing—as the loaf of bread becomes the body of the Lord. The blessings are simple—unity, peace, wholeness, faith—yet a lifetime does not suffice for contemplating the gifts given in the blessed bread. And so we stand and lift our hands and voices in praise. This shall be our profile at harvest. curator's statement | list of artists
