  Luminous Spirit
Fabric, beads, embroidery, quilted

Jeanelle McCall

I see the miracle, the power of hope, and the transformation of soul as light. Pure, brilliant light. Light that transcends barriers. Light that can illuminate and change the spirit. Clear crystals and white beads represent the purest Spirit. I expressed barriers in many forms on this quilt. Those who have made the journey of darkness to light are the lighter colored shells. They mix and glow among those on their way and survive among those who remain in darkness. For unto us a child is born.

Commercial artist, designer, illustrator since 1975. During this time I have received numerous (over 180 from the Advertising Federation) awards in these areas. I have recently enjoyed creating more textual art with the use of fabrics and different forms of embellishments.
