Wade in the Water

Artist Statement: Liberating: “O God, whose wonderful deeds of old shine forth even to our own day, you once delivered by the power of your mighty arm your chosen people from slavery under Pharaoh, to be a sign for us of the salvation of all nations by the water of Baptism….” BCP 289

Bio: Nancy Leachman Stoller began painting 30 years ago when she moved to Eastern North Carolina from her native Iowa. She has studied with several internationally and nationally acclaimed artists who have influenced her work including Beverly McIver, Skip Lawrence, Alex Powers, and Judi Betts. She has been represented by several galleries and her work is featured in group and solo shows in eastern North Carolina.

She is a life-long Episcopalian, active in the church’s mission. Her daughter, Anne, serves as Assisting Priest for Children’s Education at Holy Trinity, Fayetteville, N.C.
