Artist Statement: From concept drawings to final touches, members of the Illuminators group at the Episcopal Church of St. Mary's, Phoenix, found rich meaning in this Antiphon, O Dawn of the East. One of the group, Sylvia, found much delight in trying the various art media available to convey the brilliance of dawn, and how this light dispels the darkness. She focused on the word, Justice, Jesus is the source of enlightenment, comfort and hope.
