Artist's Statement:The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it. This mosaic depicts the verse for December 21 - also the Winter Solstice - it speaks to darkness of another sort… O DAWN OF THE EAST, brightness of the light eternal, and Sun of Justice: Come shine on all who sit in darkness and the shadow of death. |
